Public Health Agency of Canada's Infectious Diseases and Climate Change Fund

Posted by Suman Jha on September 5, 2017 in Research Funding

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) is pleased to announce the launch of the Infectious Diseases and Climate Change Fund. PHAC is currently accepting funding requests from interested applicants to address the impact of climate change on human health by building and increasing access to infectious disease-based evidence, education and awareness.  The focus will be on preparing for and protecting Canadians from climate-driven infectious diseases that are zoonotic (diseases that can be transmitted from animals and insects to humans), food-borne and/or water-borne.

PHAC would like to invite your organization to review the Invitation to Submit a Funding Request (pdf) and submit a project proposal by 11:59pm, Friday, September 29, 2017.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Invitation to Submit a Funding Request or the Funding Request Form (pdf), please contact PHAC’s Centre for Grants and Contributions by email at CGCOperationsCSC@phac-aspc.gc.ca.

PHAC is committed to addressing our climate change adaptation commitments and strengthening Canada’s ability to deal with the impacts of climate change.  We look forward to reviewing your submission for funding.

Sincerely,
Centre for Food-borne, Environmental and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases
Public Health Agency of Canad
