Deadline (Application): Global Research Seed Fund
The VP Research & Innovation and VP Government and Global Relations are pleased to announce a call for applications to the Global Research Seed Fund (GRSF). The Global Research Seed Fund (formerly known as the Vice-President Research and Innovation International Seed Fund) is intended to support the development of international research initiatives between Dalhousie researchers and their global partners.
Applications will be accepted from faculty members who are eligible for tri-agency funding. The GRSF will support emerging international collaborations that require start-up support to develop research ties. Such collaborations will be funded up to $5,000 per project.
Funding for the GRSF is provided jointly by the Offices of the VP Research and Innovation and the VP Government and Global Relations (GGR). For the 2023 competition, GGR funding will be reserved specifically for applications that propose to partner with collaborators at institutions located in India.
The deadline for applications is Friday 24 November 2023. Researchers are to submit their applications via the ROMEO researcher portal, allowing sufficient time for routing through Departmental and Faculty level approvals prior to the deadline. After the submission deadline has passed, the OVPRI will contact Deans and ask them to rank the submissions received from their faculty.
