Dalhousie University's Information Technology Services (ITS) was proud to host this year’s Canadian Higher Education Information Technology (CANHEIT) conference at the Studley campus in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The three-day event, held from June 17th to 20th, brought together over 550 attendees and facilitated collaboration among universities, colleges, sponsors, and industry partners.
CANHEIT, overseen by CUCCIO (the Canadian University Council of CIOs), is Canada’s leading national conference. It brings together IT professionals from across the post-secondary sector (universities, colleges, and polytechnics) to share ideas, showcase best practices, and learn from each other.
Dalhousie's ITS team began meticulously planning the conference 14 months in advance. Over 30 dedicated volunteers played a vital role in the conference's success. Their contributions ranged from serving on planning committees and coordinating volunteer efforts to providing on-site assistance during the event.
CANHEIT 2024 was a well-organized and valuable event for Canada's higher education IT community. It provided a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, benefiting the institutions and the sector.
