The Gardens

Our breathtaking, impeccably maintained gardens are a highlight of the Agricultural Campus. Beloved by the community and guests, our gardens are also valuable teaching tools—you’ll see the work and care of generations of Dalhousie students as you stroll the pathways, enjoy the tranquility and breathe the fragrant air.

For company barbeques or formal weddings, our gardens are the perfect backdrop to your outdoor event.

Alumni Gardens

Events can take place in the gazebo, on the cement platform and in certain other designated areas. No matter what your plans, you’ll want to take time to peruse the colourful perennial gardens and the stunning rose garden.

The Rock Garden

Home to many uncommon plants and amazing landscaping, our half-acre rock garden is a tourist destination and a gift to botanists and anyone interested in alpine plants. With two cedar bridges, walkways, and over 450 tonnes of red granite, The Rock Garden offers excellent photo opportunities.
