University Committees
DPMG elects representatives to sit on the following University Committees:
- Employee Benefits: provides feedback to the University regarding the operations of the Benefits Plan. See the Terms of Reference.
- Job Evaluation Appeals: provides a process to appeal job evaluation decisions taken by the Job Evaluation Analyst and Committee. See the Terms of Reference.
- Joint Occupational Health & Safety: cooperatively engages employees and employers on matters related to occupational health and safety. There are separate committees for the Halifax and Truro campuses; see the Terms of Reference for Halifax and Truro.
- Transportation & Security: serves as a means of communication between the University Administration and the university community on matters relating to security and transportation demand management issues. See the Terms of Reference.
- Employment Equity: works through, and with, the Human Rights & Equity Advisor to implement and make continuously effective Dalhousie's policy on affirmative action and equal opportunity. See the Terms of Reference.
- Sexual Harassment Advisory: monitors the effectiveness of the Sexual Harassment Policy as well as sexual harassment education and awareness programs for the University community. See the Terms of Reference.
- Pension Advisory: considers any and all matters relating to pensions and the administration of the Pension Plan. See the Terms of Reference.
