New to Dal AC programming will be held in-person on our Agricultural Campus in Truro. Students will have access to additional supports and information virtually. Online components can be accessed at dal.ca/brightspace.

Get involved with New to Dal to win prizes like Dal gear and tickets to the NS Stampede! New Dal AC students can earn points towards the New to Dal Cup or House Points by attending and checking into events. Show your event pass to a New to Dal Leader to earn a prize entry to be entered into a draw for NS Stampede tickets. The more events you attend the more enties you earn! Some events, like information sessions will also offer door prizes, so you could walk away with Dal gear and other prizes following an event.

Please note that event information may be updated as needed throughout the summer. Any major changes to the schedule during New to Dal weekend due to items such as weather, will be shared with students via Instagram.

DalOnline Brightspace Throughout July & August	On-campus Housing & Residence Life Before you Arrive Living in Residence courses	All students living on campus are required to complete the Before you Arrive module found in the Residence Hub of DalOnline. This virtual session reviews key items you need to know before moving-in to campus housing. To access this module login to DalOnline, navigate to Web for Students, Residence Application and select 'Click Here to Apply'. Once in the Residence Application Hub, click the "Before you Arrive" button. On-campus students must also complete the Dal AC Residence Community Module located in Brightspace. This virtual workshop covers information about living on campus within the Dal AC community.

Brightspace Launches July 11th, 2024	New to Dal Online	Before classes start, be sure to check out our helpful New to Dal videos for all the details and info you will need before arriving on campus. New, first year undergraduate students who watch all the included videos and complete the quizzes by September 20, 2024 will be entered to win one of two prizes of an Apple Watch. Academic integrity is about being honest in the way you do your scholarly work. Join this session to learn about the rules scholars and students must follow to be good citizens of the academic community. Students will be introduced to the Writing Centre which can support them with essays, assignments, lab reports, presentations, and much more. A guest from the local Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) detachment will also be available to discuss local laws and safety in the Bible Hill community, and how to access local emergency services when needed.

Looking to stay a bit closer to campus? Enjoying the sunshine in one of the many campus gardens or take a short walk along the Great Trail. A section of the trail can be accessed from the parking lot behind the residence buildings. Consider working on your scavenger hunt while exploring the campus or downtown for a chance to win some great prizes!

Students need to bring the following to the clinic: Original form of identification, typically a foreign passport or out of province photo ID & Dalhousie student ID. Mailing address for where the card can be shipped, cards are not issued on site. No appointment needed. Drop-ins welcome.  A Nova Scotia ID card is an excellent option for students requiring a government issued photo ID who do not wish to use their passport or are not issued a physical ID card from their home jurisdiction.
