Student Leadership Learning Community

Dalhousie's Living and Learning Communities in Leadership is tailored for first year undergraduate students entering the Student Leadership Academy high-potential stream. The SLA LLC creates a community where students in the Academy can live and learn with their peers who are also interested in leadership development. 

Supports in the living and learning communities will include:

  • Dedicated student mentors who are high-performing student leaders at Dalhousie;
  • Leader in Residence – a seasoned mentor from the career or capstone leadership academy who will regularly visit the community, offer leadership development opportunities, group mentorship, and reflection sessions;
  • Access to foundations of leadership workshops within their residence community, as a cohort;
  • Support with planning their own opportunities to engage in student and community leadership (connected to their career and academic goals) using a holistic coaching / life design framework.
