Registration & Fees

All Visiting Research Students must be registered for each academic term, or part thereof, that they are at Dalhousie. This gives Visiting Research Students active student status at Dalhousie and access to essential services (e.g. email, insurance, DalCard, etc.). Visiting Research Students do not pay tuition, but they are charged incidental fees for each academic term they are here (approximately $130 per term). These fees provide student access to the libraries, labs, campus-wide Wi-Fi, and more. Visiting Research Students will also receive an official Dalhousie academic transcript at the end of their stay.

Account Balance and Fee Statements 

Your "Account Detail by Term" on Dal Online will provide you with current details of your account, including the amount owing for any fees, payment history, and account activity by term.

All student account information is considered confidential. Access to the account by a third party (e.g. parent, partner, supporter, etc.) must be authorized by the student.
