The programme at AU (Aarhus University) Summer University consist of a broad variety of courses, taught in English at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD level, within the fields of: Arts, Business and Economics, Business Communication, Political Science and Law, Health, Science and Technology.

AU Summer University welcomes Danish and international full-time students, exchange students and free movers. Along with the academic programme, we offer accommodation service, visa service, and a social programme for both lecturers and students.

National University of Singapore – FASStrack Asia: The Summer School 2022

Description:

FASStrack Asia comprises courses from the Faculty’s Asian Studies Division, Humanities Division and the Social Sciences Division. Courses are focused on Asia, and some of these courses will feature a 5-9 days’ field trip to the country of study. The Centre for Language Studies will also offer relevant Asian language courses that will complement the field trips for a comprehensive learning experience and in-depth cultural immersion. You will be attending classes held in a dynamic and multi-cultural learning environment with NUS and international students from various universities from all over the world.

Christian Albrechts Universitet – Kiel (CAU-Kiel)

"Germany today - language, society, nation, culture"

For more than 70 years, Kiel University has organised an International Summer Course. Each year in the summer - from mid-July to mid-August - about 70 to 90 students and graduates from foreign universities from more than 20 different countries participate in this course.

The summer course helps participants to improve their German language skills, as well as to inform them about Germany today (language, society, nation and culture).

The programme encompasses three components: German classes, lectures and excursions.

*Must have basic German language skills (minimum of A2 level)

Glasgow International Summer School

Description

The University of Glasgow is the fourth-oldest university in the English speaking world and one of Scotland’s four ancient universities. Located in Glasgow, the university was founded in 1451.

Glasgow is the largest city in Scotland and third most populous in the United Kingdom. The city is situated on the River Clyde in the country’s west central lowlands. The university campus is surrounded by museums, galleries and parks and is located at the heart of the city’s fashionable West End, home to cafes hidden down cobbled lanes, world-famous restaurants, boutique shops and Victorian architecture.

Courses range from 1-8 weeks.

Choose courses within the areas of Exploring Scotland, Theology, Creative Arts, English and Education, Science and Engineering, and Life Sciences.

Leeds International Summer School

Description

Experience the vibrant, student friendly city of Leeds and explore the rich history, culture and natural beauty of the area. The summer school combines world-class tuition with academic field trips. Leeds International Summer School also includes social activities and cultural excursions.

Through experiential learning and field trips, you will spend lots of time outside of the classroom. You will enjoy hands-on learning that will give you insights into British culture, history and society. Each module includes at least one field trip to support what you have learned in the classroom. Destinations include Castle Howard in York, the Brontë Parsonage in Haworth and the cities of Manchester and Liverpool.

Choose from modules in Arts and Humanities, Biological Sciences, Business, Engineering and Computing, Law, Natural Sciences, Politics and Social Sciences and Psychology.

Aberystwyth University – Identity and Nationhood Summer School

Description Aberystwyth University is inviting applications to attend a 3 week summer programme on Identity and Nationhood offering interested students an opportunity to explore contemporary issues in this field from a Welsh perspective. The program is a great opportunity not only for students focusing on international relations, politics, sociology or social sciences, but also by students majoring in subjects as the sciences, agriculture and languages. The three weeks will also include field trips and excursions (jollies!) all included in the price, as well as time to get to know the seaside town of Aberystwyth, home to the National Library of Wales.

Description

Castle Summer+ is a six-week program that gives you the chance to earn 9.0 units (3 courses) towards your degree and the opportunity to conduct independent research. Plus, a three night/four day trip to London is included in your tuition.

Archaeology Fieldwork offers you an immersive way to learn the historical background on the Herstmonceux Castle estate through an on-site dig of the never-before-excavated Gamekeeper’s Lodge. Also as part of Castle Summer+, you will have the option to take an elective or an independent research course.

Interdisciplinary Studies in Global Health and Disability gives you the opportunity to earn 9.0 units in a specially-curated set of courses to broaden your scope and understanding of global health and disability studies. Engage with representatives from world-renowned agencies, explore cultural and historical sites, and take part in a multi-day trip to Geneva, Switzerland (included in your tuition).

Field School in Medieval Theatre is an intensive three-week, 6.0-unit program, where you can explore a range of dramatic works from the Medieval period in England, research historical performance styles, visit cultural sites, and perform at England’s largest medieval festival

Funding is available - up to $2500 through the Bader International Study Centre Grant
