Study Abroad & Exchange Advising Services (Halifax)


Outbound Exchange Students (nominated for a Dal exchange)

If you have been nominated for a Dal exchange for the Winter 2025 Term, we will be taking a group advising approach for the remainder of the Fall 2025 Term. Group advising sessions will be offered virtually on Teams and will cover topics such as Learning Agreements/Letters of Permission, applications to the host university, visa applications to the host country, funding opportunities, etc. Check your email for the meeting links.   

  • Tuesdays (11am-12pm)
  • Wednesdays (10-11am)
  • Fridays (2-3pm)

In addition, we will be running virtual pre-departure info sessions to review all the steps and requirements before travelling (e.g. Brightspace courses, International SOS registration, international travel & health insurance coverage, transfer credits, etc.). Check your email for the session links.

Inbound Exchange Students (coming to Dal)

If you are coming to Dalhousie on exchange during the Winter 2025 Term, we have organized a series of virtual advising sessions (see schedule below). Please join one (or more) of the sessions to learn about course registration, activating your Dal email, housing options, insurance coverage, expenses, orientation & arrival services, etc.  It’s also a good chance to connect with other inbound exchange students! Check your email for links to the sessions.

Dal/King’s students who are interested in study abroad & exchange

To make it easier to answer everyone’s questions at once, we will be holding weekly group-advising sessions. Sessions will be held in person at the International Centre (Halifax) on a drop-in basis.
