About this resource

Food insecurity is a problem in the student community. Sometimes, money doesn't come in, loans get delayed, or you've got other expenses that suddenly appear. The DSU Food Bank is there for students who need long-term assistance or just a few meals to get by. There are also opportunities for students and community members to volunteer at the food bank.

Dalhousie and community come together to address student food security for Giving Tuesday

The Food Security Project helps to connect students with reliable access to nutritious food at a time when it’s badly needed. All Food Security Project proceeds will go to stocking shelves, expanding capacity, and providing food literacy programs at the DSU Food Bank and AC Food Pantry.
