Dissemination of research results is essential. Trainees within the Jakeman group are expected to write draft manuscripts with their co-wokers. Many undergraduates, all graduate students and all post-doctoral fellows in the Jakeman laboratory have published as co-authors with Dr Jakeman. Several collaborations exist with research groups locally, elsewhere in Canada and in other parts of the world. Joint publications have arisen from these collaborative studies.
Dissemination of research results at conferences is also encouraged. Trainees present research findings at local and national / international meetings. Dr. Jakeman is often invited to present research findings at national meetings and organizes symposia in areas of interest.
